MilesBuzz! - Hilton Honors bonus with Optima card
For every $500 charged each month for the months of Sept, Oct, Nov, you receive 5000 bonus points!! I have my first $500 for my card and now will concentrate on my husband's $500. We have a mutual fund so will gather up 10K points in a most painless fashion!!

Karen2:
Can you please post the details on this and tell me where you found the info? Someone else posted about this a couple of weeks ago and, as I recall, said there was one bonus if you spent $500 on the card each of the three months. I haven't received any information on this in my bill or Honors statement and am wondering, seeing as I use this card pretty heavily, if they're purposely not making it available to me. Could it be offered as an incentive only to those who don't use this card much?
This is an interesting offer.
Is there a link or a website displayign the information. Also, do you ahve to sign up or pre-register if you have a Hilton Optima?
Enquiring Flyers want to know!!!
I think I was too hasty in posting this one. First of all, you have to charge $500/month each month for a total bonus of 5000 points. Next, it most likely was a mailer to those who have not been using the card much (me!). And last, which does irritate me, I just noticed that my HUSBAND is being offered 5000 points and I am only being offered 3000 points, plus have to charge $850/month! We are pretty much equal in not using our cards (got them to get opening points - you all understand). Since my grocery store and many other places do not take Amex and since one HHonors points is not as valuable as an airline point, I have not used the card except when a special shows up.
Do you suppose HHonors' computer is practicing sex discrimination? Where are the Flyer Talk lawyers?? I shall be taking this up with HHonors. The letters are signed by the Prezes of Hilton and Amex and came with a 50% off cert and confirmable room upgrade (interestingly, cannot use together though the letter implies that you can). Pretty much have to use corporate rate to get upgrade.

Yes it is sex discrimination. I am a male and did not receive any bonus offer in the mail.
Or "targerted" marketing even within families. I actually posted this under Hilton on 8/18/99- "5k bonus"! Better to have double notification of this than to miss it! Cheers!
Well, pgupta, you must be using your card too much!!

I'm not, unless charging $20 over several months is a lot.
