American Express Membership Rewards - Platinum amex benefits

Can someone please point me in the right direction to find what the benefits are of the Platinum amex. I was told by someone that I would get gold level with Marriott. What eles will I receive?

That someone was mistaken. The Platinum charge card will give you Gold status in Starwood, but not Marriott.

The UK Amex Plat charge card will also give you gold in Hilton HHonors.
