American Express Membership Rewards - Global Card Transfer

I don't know how new this is, but it is the first time I see it on the AMEX Global Products Page. I could not find it in the forums/archives either, so I thought I would post this here.

I called Amex about this a few months ago, as I had moved from the US to the UK. It apparently only works for charge card accounts, not credit card accounts, and even then the agent's recommendation was that I was better off making a separate new application in the UK (which I did).

Credit lines on cards, like other personal credits, are subject to local laws and regulations and can't be easily "transferred".

Moved from Sweden to the US. No problem getting an Amex SPG creditcard although I had no credithistory in the US (but been a member since -01 in Sweden). Lously creditline though, $2000, but I hear a lot of people complaining about the low SPG creditline.
