American Express Membership Rewards - Amex corporate card in UK

Hello,
I’ve found this site looking for Amex related discussions – having done a search looks like my question isn't already answered.
I’d be interested in having your views on the Amex corporate card offer in the UK – I’ve been approached by them and am curious about what users of the card think – I’m not really interested by the personal card viewpoint (I can see the heated debate over Centurion) – I dropped mine a few years ago anyway. I really just want a view from current corporate users – how’s the service, etc..
Any service issues / good benefits, etc…?
Your help is much appreciated.

From the perspective of someone issued with one of these cards, I have little good or bad to say. My employer isn't enrolled in the Membership Rewards prograamme so I would get no benefit whatsoever out of it. I generally (along with most other employees of the concern in question) therefore choose to use a personal card of some kind.
Having said that, the Corporate card is good to have in case of emergencies. For example, it was nice to have around when I had an £8000 hotel bill - far in excess of anything I'd ever charged to my personal Amex card before (which Amex accepted anyway).
Corporate Card Service has been good enough on the few occasions I've needed it. Amex gets quite a bit of stick on the service front around here. I think this is because certain issuers of Visa and Mastercard credit cards have raised the bar on their own levels of service.

I work for a company that has Corporate Cards - I had one for about 6 months. I dumped it because I followed the personal carda venune instead as it brought me more benefits and more better travel cover.
MR Earning is available but its obscene teh way taht you are charged more than a personal cardmember to be part of the scheme:
£35.25 for Corporate per year
£23.50 for Personal per year - if you have both, its the lower rate.
On the Travel front, I am forced to use Corporate Travel which is downright annoying as they are very poor compared to Centurion Travel. But even then, I am more than capable of booking my own travel online and often much cheaper than AmEx offers.
Thanks,
Richard

Thanks - very interesting.
I hadn’t noticed the point about the MR costs - odd indeed.
I'm a little surprised there aren't more Corporate cards here - from reading other forums it looks like a lot of business people are on Flyer Talk.
Richard - any other aspects of the service you could comment on, since it looks like you have a lot f knowledge on this. If more convenient, you can email me at johnplondon@hotmail.com (sorry, no corporate email but seems obvious why!).
Thanks again to all!

I have used a corporate card in the UK from three employers and one in the US, since 1993. I have found the service to be nothing fantastic but better than the service from non Amex cards. The UK service is superior to the US service. In particular I like their approach to dealing with incorrect charges and lost cards (especially the latter when my knowledge of their process made me look good in front of a client I was attending a conference with in BCN who lost her card at the airport).
