I got a voice mail from the Centurion people saying that since I live in LA, they want to make sure I'm OK with all the fires going on and if there is anything they can do to help, please call. Even though I wasn't affected by the fires, I thought that was very nice. It's the first time any credit card company has showed they cared.

Nice call. I hope they would be helpful if you really needed something...
The cynic in might might ask if they were calling to see if you got your bill and were going to pay!
I got the same call but was there to answer it. I thought it was a very nice touch.
And for the comment about the $1,000: It's worth it.
