I have never paid for a credit card and I never will. Actually they pay me over $800 each year just to use it (Costco AMEX) for silly purchases. I prefer to waste my money on more useful things.

So how much do you spend annually on Costco AMEX?

I pay for my credit card BUT I earn more than my money back. I pay 130 a year and get at least a 500 dollar plane ticket and since I use them, it makes sense for me (I think?) And I only spend about 15,000 which at that spending tier most rewards cannot compete with. (I think?)

if you USE THE FREE TICKETS, isn't a card EVEN WITH AN ANNUAL FEE most of the time better? Would like some feedback on this too, please.

ticket cost (on SW) 500 (2 weeks in advance)
ticket cost (on sw) 309 (3 months in advance)

minus annual fee 130 (SOON TO BE 110)

179$ earned on a ticket 3 months in advance
370$ earned on a ticket 2 weeks in advance

1% cashback card on 13-15,000 in purchases made to get this free ticket 150$ at the most

So doesn't this appear that I am making decent cashback? Because of always double miles and double miles promos I can earn 20,000 on 13-15,000 in purchases. But could earn 212 on the amex cash rebate card, and I am having a really HARD TIME deciding which to keep. I guess since it is free the first year I will keep it, and if they don't lower or remove the annual fee I will keep it for another year (2 years for 130$) and then 3rd year of they don't lower it I guess I would cancel it.

Are my thoughts clouded or does this make sense?

What's clouded is your understanding of the FT TOS. You started this thread on one topic, and now you've changed it to be the same thing you posted on this thread in MilesBuzz:

Time for the moderators to shut this one down.
