I have noticed that some restaurants are starting to take a non-refundable deposit at time of booking (when booking through Centurion). I was just told that Amex is experiencing a difficult relationship with some restaurants as there are too many Amex customers who are not turning up for their reservations.

She also said that the Ivy (london) has stopped accepting reservations from Centurion. However, she stressed that this applies to all third party booking services

Vijian,

Don't normally use CTS for London restaurants but some friends who use The Ivy regularly said they had been having problems with Amex no-shows so I'm not surprised.

A single restaurant (ok, the most famous in the west end) has problems with multiple centurion no-shows...? perhaps there are already too multiple centurion card holders...

Inevitable I suppose. Look at what Platinum has become.

When students become Platinum targets after less than two months and £3.5k spend I think it shows what Platinum has become
