Interesting news and a guaranteed diluter of benefits IMHO.
I've noticed that the amount of time I spend waiting for a rep when I phone going up month after month this year (presumably as more people have joined).
There's not much I can do about that and binning the card isn't really an option since I know of no other way to get comprehensive travel insurance plus an unlimited Priority Pass at anything like as good as the Amex price point.
It will be interesting to see if Amex keep the current arrangement with Priority Pass for Platinum customers though as there's only so many seats in any given lounge (I undrstand that Virgin had to stop allowing Plat customers into their lounges for this very reason).
