American Express Membership Rewards - Which Toshiba 57" TV is it in MR?

I am looking at burning some points for the Toshiba 57" HD TV that is in the MR catalog.

Can anyone tell me which Toshiba 57" it is?

Is it a good TV?

The picture in the MR catalog looks like a 57H82, rather than the 57HDX82, the only two 57" models Toshiba makes.

While I would check my local store before making a decision, Toshiba projection TV's have a good reputation.

I have a 57H82 and I absolutely LOVE it. It gets an extremely LOUD, ringing endorsement from me...

I looked for several months at TV's, and finally arrived at my decision on the Toshiba. It then came down to the 50", 57" or the 65" Toshiba.

Amex MR intentionally omits model numbers from their website and all promotional catalogs/brochures because their electronics vendor cannot guarantee they will have that specific model number at the time orders are placed. So, there is some risk at the time you redeem your points for electronics merchandise, because you will not know (nor will the Amex MR customer service reps.) EXACTLY what you are getting until it arrives. Some value proposition huh?

Snowcap, are you saying that could pull a bait'n'switch on me and deliver a 57" non-HD TV?

No, I am saying it is not clear what exact model of the Toshiba 57" TV you will get until you actually get it. It will have all of the features (including HD) that are advertised on the website or the Annual Program Guide, but as monahos said above, it could be either one specific model or another within the 57" family of Toshiba HDTVs with all of the other features listed.
