I adjusted my Centurion card statement date and hence received new cards.
On the new card, the A.C card, but NOT the supplementary card there is an italic motif saying 'Charter Member' just above the extra 4 digit number you get on the top right of the normal Amex number.
This was NOT on my old ones. I asked cust services what it meant. She wasn't sure and had to ask someone... apparently it's for people who have been with Centurion since its inception - and quote 'makes them feel special' - she said it makes no difference otherwise.
I said I'd only had my card for 3 months or so - she said 'oh just ignore it...!' - and seemed to not know what she was really talking about.
I was wondering if anyone else has seen this and can shed some more light on it ?
