Is there a link on the Amex US site for customers to request/recommend new merchants for Amex to contact, so that they accept Amex?
I recall some of my old paper statements had such a form, but cannot seem to find the online equivalent.

This is question makes me laugh…until a few weeks ago the only person at amex who could find this was a customer service person at centurion and this is probably still true . I called the 800 number on my business amex recently and was transferred to no less than 4 different people who could not find the “suggest merchant accept the card site” location and they all claimed it did not exist. This remark was coming from customer service, supervisor at customer service, online support, and a supervisor at online support. I kept on insisting they were wrong and someone at centurion knew the location off the top of their head and gave it to me some time ago and I just forgot about it. After refusing to let the supervisor hang up on me as she wanted to do one her underlings who first took my call found the site. I advised her that they should make it easier to find.
SHAME ON AMEX for not fixing this problem that would get them more business. Well I guess they have not done so yet so here it goes. Click on “Customer service….then find contact American Express ..then click on still need help …then go to email amex…then click on…email us about a merchant…then pull down “a want a merchant to accept the card” or just click here.. https://home4.americanexpress.com/cust_serv/forms/merchantsecure.asp?aexp_nav=ent_contactustoemail_m erch

Amex certainly buried this one rather deep!
