Anyone else get this in the mail this week? Excellent opportunity to b*tch outside this website. I filled it out with great enthusiasm.

Just got the survey, 2 days after I called to cancel my card... They ended up comping half the annual fee, "half admitting" travel benefits have indeed decreased significantly:
- TWA gone, US Airways in chapter 11. That's 2 out of 4 airlines we were all originally sold on back in '99
- All insurance policies are significantly inferior to those offered to international Centurion members, and somewhat inferior even to some overseas Platinum programs. Some examples: baggage delay provided at no cost in the UK & Switzerland - per trip charge in the US; rental insurance primary in most European countries - secondary and with irritating exclusions ala no coverage for loss of use in the US; medical insurance up to $6.5MM on international $$$ Centurion - a lot less in the US; ...
- PriorityPass membership offered to all European platinum & centurion members at no cost (provides free access to 300+ lounges worldwide). I had to pay $295 to purchase my membership
- FHR benefits disappearing (suite upgrades no longer confirmed at time of reservation, fewer other benefits in many properties)

I gave them some other examples, but I think you understand why I'm less enthusiastic about US Centurion today than I was 3 years ago...

I don't know of any information regarding the US Airways benefit going away because of ch 11. Does anyone have any info?

I don’t believe the US Air benefit is in imminent danger and it is actually of much greater value given the recently announced alliance with United. The carrier’s bankruptcy filing is just emblematic of the economics in that industry and should not reflect negatively on Amex, IMHO. That said, I believe that Amex should diligently attempt to augment the frequent flyer status benefits of the Centurion Card to restore it to the pre-TWA/American merger state.
