anyone used rewards for a cruise? Is this a good use of 300K points? do they give you the worst rooms?

I've never used MR points for a cruise but for me airline tickets have the better value. 300k MR points can get you 2 FC or 3 Biz seats to an international destination. I have 240k MR points ready to go to DL for 3 BE seats to FRA. I'd rather purchase my cruise cabin at the level I'm comfortable with and try to get a 1- or 2-cabin upgrade with my AMEX card.

I agree. THere are some great deals out there on cruises. Best to use the points for miels for business or first class tickets. Or move the points to Delta and then Hilton. Lots of hotel nights with those points.
