American Express Membership Rewards - Centurion Starwood Benefit

Much like the US Air card misshap, today I received a Gold Starwood card rather than a Platinum.
AMEX Travel assures me the benefit should be Platinum. AMEX Customer Service can't find the benefit guide.

Had the same problem last year. 15 minutes later a Centurion CSR upgraded my status back to Platinum as I was on hold... Status @ spg.com was updated immediately, and I got the new card in the mail 2 weeks later.
US Air isn't a mishap, it's just how they do it. Starwood should be straight to Platinum. I had the same issue with Hyatt but a quick call got the Diamond reinstated.
Yes - I also received a Starwood Gold card when my Platinum expired. Amex told me that I should receive my Starwood Platinum card in the next ten days. Looking at my membership details on the Starwood website immediately after ringing Amex I still showed up as Platinum.
