American Express Membership Rewards - Rewards Plus offer received

Hello everyone,
I just received an offer from AmEx to convert my Green Card with MR to a Rewards Plus Gold account. The offer also included double MR points for the first year on purchases with their air/hotel partners. After the first year, I earn 1.5 MR points per dollar charged with them and 1 MR point for all other charges (standard terms I guess).

Annual fee on this puppy is $150 with five additional cards included, so I can give all my mistresses a card. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

I also have the Starwood AmEx, which I still think is a better card. Have any of you considered switching to this card, and if so, were there any compelling reasons? It seems like the Starwood card offers all the same benefits (best value guarantee, etc) along with better mileage conversion options.

Go with the Starwoods card.
Many of the same features, you get 5K bonus when you move 20,000 miles into any frequent flier account, so you would have 25K and the annual fee is $30.

I have a *wood, which I use as much as possible. I bought an AMEX Plat to use for hotel reservations in cities without Starwood hotels. Got 58,000 mr points the first year with no charges on the AMEX card.
