I was informed that the Platinum card allows access to the FRA Admiral's Club(AA), no AA ticket required. I cannot find any documentation of this benefit in my Platinum pack, or on line.

The new Acela first class only clubs in NY, DC, and Philadelphia are accessable, no ticket required.

Are there any other undocumented clubs around? Particularly in Europe.

Have a look on the Amex US-Website:

Under "Platinum Card Benefits" youīll find a section called "Airport Club Program", thatīll give you more information.

Found it, thank you

Now for CO and NW clubs, do I have to have tickets on CO or NW to use that lounge?

I dont know where it is written, but it works. Admiral Club in FRA can be used without BP or ticket -- just show your card.

That is the rule, although I don't know how strictly it's enforced. You are also allowed up to two guests.

The secret most people donīt know is:

The AA Admirals Club in FRA and the American Express Private Airport Club in FRA are the same!!
Both companies (AA and Amex) just share the same location. So itīs up to you how you want to enter the "club", as an AA-member or an Amex-member.

slawecki-
Using the CO lounge @ EWR as a plat guest I've never been asked for a BP.

In all of my recent experiences, I have been asked in both NW and CO clubs to show my boarding pass in addition to my Plat. If you do a search, there was a recent thread discussing the semantics of gaining entrance to both clubs with a Plat card.
