Several months ago, Amex Canada informed us that we would have to pay a CAD $1.50 fee after Jan. 1, 2002, for making our Amex statement payments at their Travel Service offices. In short, making us pay a payment to make a payment. Just received my latest Amex Canada statement, and on the second page is an announcement that the fee is no longer applicable for payments at TS offices. Did they finally wake up to the stupidity of their initial move? Same page restates the CO and DL transfer loss of 25% on mileage transfers to those two airlines from Canadian
MR accounts. Now, if we could just get them to rethink that stupidity too.....
