With AmExp platinum you get 10,000 miles after spending $25,000 in the credit card year (not the calendar year). I was almost there, and on my monthly statement they suddenly cut the posting of yearly amount of dollars spent back to a very low amount. I have called (they said "computer glitch"--they would fix it). I have also written. No progress. Has this happened to anyone else? Did it get fixed? My yearly anniversary is October 17. Thanks for help!!

I didn't know about the 10,000 mile bonus when you spend over $25k in a year...

I searched hi and low on AmEx's Platinum Card website (see: http://home3.americanexpress.com/cards/welcome/platinum/plat_card_checkbox.asp ) and there was nothing about that there.

Can you point me in the right direction which shows that the Platinum card gets this benefit?

I did not know that this was a benefit either, if it is one at all.

This is a benefit of the Platinum Delta Skymiles card. See Platinum Delta Skymiles credit card (http://www25.americanexpress.com/cards/Fmacfservlet?36/20/b/3/0/241111338652/20/n&from=0)

Even if the computer doesn't properly reflect your total spending for the year, I can't imagine that you are going to have a problem with getting the bonus. How much you've charged to AmEx in a year is very easy for you to prove and very easy for them to verify!
