I just transferred 100,000 points to my Delta account.

Is the 25,000 bonus automatic?

The lady on the phone did not ask for anything but my MR# and Delta #?

Are there restrictions to this offer or is everyone elgible?

I believe it was a targeted offer. No postcard, no bonus. Also, I do believe that you get the best bang for for the buck by transferring at 50K a piece instead of 100K.

Anyway according to the terms of the offer, in summary 1)valid only for Cardmembers named in the mailing. 2)Transfer of MR points must be made in one total sum, and the number of bonus miles you will receive is based on the first transfer made during the promotional period. You can receive only one Skymiles bonus during the offer.
Apparently, the CS rep transferred the MR points to Skymiles just as a point redemption/transfer, without giving you the bonus. In the mailing I have it states that you need to provide a MR promo code and another code to refer delta rep.. Contact MR to verify the CS rep did indeed transfer MR points and that you'll receive that mileage bonus.

The mailing says that it will be six to eight weeks after the offer ends before the bonus appears. The offer ends on 7/31/01, so it will be 9/31/01 before the bonus may even post!

When I made my transfer I was told not to expect the 5K until late Sept, just as Beckles mentioned. The 20K posted immediately.

I received my bonus miles today ... I think.

My total mileage balance increased by 25k miles, but there's no transaction showing in the details for the 25k miles ...
