American Express Membership Rewards - Cancelling AmEx/Membership Rewards -- Fees Reimbursed?

If I cancelled my Membership Rewards account or my MR and AmEx account, are prorated fees reimbursed?

My "anniversary" for both was about two months ago.

Supposedly, yes!

From experience, if you cancel an AMEX card, the unused portion of the annual fee is credited against the account. I can't speak to the MR fee.

I have gotten a prorated fee refunded when I cancelled my skymiles card. With MR, I think you have to make sure that you don't have any points in your account, otherwise you will lose them.
