American Express Membership Rewards - SkyMiles AMEX Renewal

What does one receive on annual renewal of Delta SkyMiles AMEX? I recall discussion of a DL companion certificate. Is this for Gold or only platinum? When does it arrive?

One recieves a big nothing when renewing an AMEX Skymiles card, unless it is Platinum! If you are Platinum, you receive one free companion ticket after you pay the bill on which your annual fee appears. You also receive 10,000 base miles if you have charged at least $25,000 in that year on your Platinum card. Hope that helps.

There are different deals with the Platinum card, depending when you signed on.
