American Express Membership Rewards - New Green ??? New Bennefits - what about Plat ??

I just noticed the new "green" card in the UK. The bennefits seem pretty good, companion tickets for air and events, etc.

Seems like the lowly platinum card is becoming very "stale" in light of all these new bennefits.

Also, the BA/AMEX premium card provides an upgrade to world traveller plus !!!

Does anyone know if a "new" platinum card is in the works ????

The WT+ upgrade with the BA/AX Premium Plus card is on redemption. I don't think it applies to purchased tickets.
