Singapore - Should I get a car service for a day of meetings?

I have a first time trip to Singapore coming up next month. I will have a day full of back-to-back meetings all over town. My question is, should I hire a car for the day or rely on taxis? I will be on a very tight schedule. How much would a car service for the day be? Any recommendations on a company to use?

Taxis are fairly reliable and plentiful but at times there can be long queues. You may want to ensure you know how to order a taxi by SMS and smartphone app. Knowing the timings of the meetings and the areas may help give more specific guidance.
