Hello,

I am looking to make Aegean gold with a trip between the New York area and Singapore. The qualifying fare classes on United partners are here: http://en.aegeanair.com/milesandbonus/program-description/earn-miles/

My roundtrip travel will be in January. Any suggestions to reach 19,000 miles as affordably as possible?

Thanks.

Agreed - do you have suggestions as to how to do this affordably? The cheapest I'm seeing is around 1800.

1800 usd is cheap... even W is only 50%, and W is above you can use GPU to upgrade. so. 1800 is not expensive at all if u want to fly UA.

There's an own thread about this topic, in the Aegean Forum:

FAQ No.2 for Aegean Miles & Bonus: Aegean *Gold Card Crash-Course (http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/aegean-airlines-miles-bonus/1308205-faq-no-2-aegean-miles-bonus-aegean-gold-card-crash-course.html)

The dates are around Jan 6-8 to around Jan 13-14.

Thanks for the thread link - let me rephrase. I understand the principle of how to earn the points (which fare classes qualify, etc), but am just having trouble finding affordable flights, which I remember being in the 1400 range previously for the right fare classes. (I'm not willing to pay $500 more for a higher fare class on the same ticket!)

Similarly, any knowledge of how to get the miles-earning fare code a ticket booked codeshare, say, United flight flown on ANA or Air Japan metal?
