Let me guess - you're looking right around Thanksgiving, and making an assumption about "no longer selling". Tons of threads here about changes
in schedules on that week.

EVERY other day in November the ticket is $227. They simply don't fly this route some days around Thanksgiving.

I wonder why that is - does UA try to shift metal to add domestic capacity for that week?

Ah, you're right. I though UA was flying that day because a HKG connection showed up when I search USA-SIN flights departing the day before - but I didn't notice the suggested itinerary had an overnight layover ...
