YuropFlyer Sep 14, 12, 9:37 am Flight from Madrid to Zurich - LX2027 on 11 of October already sold out in all classes. Any chance to change from A321 to wide body? No - LX doesn't have widebodies in reserve to swap. There are plenty of alternatives to route, even on LX-metall itself, for example MAD-GVA-ZRH, reaching ZRH less than 2 hours after the original flight. Is that connection sold out as well? daumueller Sep 14, 12, 9:37 am A330 ? given the shortage of Longhaul equipment and the fact, that there are quite a lot of seats on other flights, chance is ZERO. alfahund Sep 16, 12, 2:05 am given the shortage of Longhaul equipment and the fact, that there are quite a lot of seats on other flights, chance is ZERO. I flew once A340 from ZRH to VIE, because that was the only thing that was available... f4freeJunior Sep 17, 12, 5:56 am Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8900/4.6.1.168 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/130) Flew zrh-gva in A330 in "F" ;) bobhope2 Sep 18, 12, 1:17 pm In the early 2000s, the 06:20 from Heathrow to Zurich was always a wide-bodied MD-11. Very good cooked breakfast too! Q-STO Sep 19, 12, 7:57 am The thread purpose is a bit unclear to me. Is a sold-out intra-European flight such an exceptional event? ;) alfahund Sep 21, 12, 10:12 am The thread purpose is a bit unclear to me. Maybe there is a Madrid sports team playing in Zurich on that day? GVA Sep 21, 12, 12:15 pm LX2033, evening one, also on A321 seems to be sold out. Maybe there is a Madrid sports team playing in Zurich on that day? No games planned. And with 87% load factors most flights will be very close to being sold out. Additionally, LX may sell out a plane as they might expect an equipment swap to an A320. Loads are better to be checked from 72 hours before departure. |
