US Airways Dividend Miles - Fewer flights between CLT and PHX?

Seems like there are fewer options (and higher prices) for flights between Phoenix and Charlotte the next couple weeks.

Anybody else run into this? Is there some big event I don't know about or has US cut back their flight schedule?

I don't know what's going on here, but I notice that too. Up until two weeks ago, I regularly used 1546 PHX/CLT and 309 CLT/PHX and they were always full, at least for Sun/Thur. Those flights are no longer available in the current schedule:td:! May be US Airways is trying to divert some traffic from PHX to PHL hub as opposed to PHX to CLT?

Oh God I hope not, especially with winter coming. Nobody should have to go to PHL, that's just too cruel.

There are numerous route/flight reductions from September into October. September is the slowest month for passenger arrivals at many U.S. airports, off as much as 30% from peak. Check the 2nd week of November and see if the frequencies you seek are added back.

The mainline fleet is scheduled to drop by 3 airplanes relative to the 1st quarter so some of it may be due to that. Adding A321's while 737's are leaving may keep the capacity change small but an airplane can't fly two segments at the same time so some frequencies have to be dropped somewhere.

Yes, because the flight were always oversold everyday. That's why it was too many passengers who prefer fly to PHX everyday. They want connecting to Hawaii flight. There is no way to get a seat. You have find another airline. I think DL, UA or AA does have a seat available. If you drive to RDU but, there is a cheap fares. Try to take on WN RDU-PHX nonstop.
