KLM Flying Dutchman - KLM Vakantie Deals: will they return?

I have taken a lot of advantage of the KLM Vakantie Deals (package deals) in the past 14 months or so, flight + 2 or 3 nights at 4 or 5 star hotels at a real steal (EUR 20/night for the hotel compared to just the fare).
Was truly disappointed when I saw last week KL is currently not offering any. Does anyone here have an idea why they stopped it, and - more importantly - will they return???

The vakantie website leads you through to the werelddeals.
Presumably when the sale ends, normal service will be restored.

I have never found these deals very attractive. Usually I was able to piece together a lower total sum by just booking tickets and hotel separately.
Any way, hotel stays for 20 euro per night I have never found there. Do you select these with long or short haul flights? perhaps they give more discount when you're buying a long haul flight..

My impression is that it will not return. My guess: no demand/profit.
This business model probably never worked. It seems that KLM actually outsourced this operation to someone (a travel agency?). No idea how the revenue is redistributed.
Same as Xandrios, I seldom found those deals really attractive. Most of the time I can secure similar or even lower prices by booking separately.
I did book it once, a 4-day visit to Prague, for €299, staying at a 4-star. Reasonable deal but the main reason I booked was due to the weather. It was snowy and my outbound flight was late in the day. With a single booking I would be insured for my lost hotel night, should my flight be delayed to the second day.
Travel insurances I know, but they all come with extra costs.

Short haul, it was all travel within Europe. Major cities with fabulous hotels bang in the city centre. And, never got tucked away in a grotty room or anything either because of the cheap deal for that matter.
Admittedly it was never an easy search with regard to destination nor dates, had to be quite flexible but it made me travel places I otherwise wouldn't have visited.

Some people would say that for a bargain to be truly a bargain, it has to be something you actually wanted (or somewhere you actually wanted to go) in the first place!
