United MileagePlus (Consolidated) - 1+ week of issues with a award ticket from Feb

Feb 26, 2012 I booked a one way *A award LAX - ORD - PTY - MVD

Up until mid-August, everything was fine. I logged in to check on some miles posting and got a message (paraphrased) "something is wrong with your award ticket, please call"

I called 4 times last week, spend well over 3 hours on hold while they called CM for the ORD - PTY - MVD segments to figure out why I was booted.

on Sep 7, I got another confirmation email (i have about 5 of them for this itinerary, after every time I call) with the CSR stating they were able to get me seat 5C on CM since they were on the phone with them. Great!

I log in today and all I see is LAX - ORD + PTY - MVD ... the CSR says "oh wow, let me put you on hold" and here I am again.

Well, after the 5th 40min+ phone call, the agent claims that everything is fine now. Apparently the ORD-PTY was the issue.

She also said that they had to book me in L for the PTY-MVD because they lost the leg with all of this fiasco. Agent claimed UA was eating the $$$, don't know if that means I get miles for it.
