Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer - SQ keeps changing my seat assignment, any ideas?

Need a little help here. My reservation was made on SQ.com with one leg NRT-LAX in Y. My original seat assignment was on the email confirmation from SQ. (81B on an A380). Then I checked my reservation a few weeks later, and found out that my seat was reassigned to a middle seat. Not a big deal, I made a change online to 81K, got an email confirmation. I also called SQ and the agent confirmed that I was confirmed on that seat.

I checked the reservation today and my seat was changed again, and this time of course all the seats on row 81 are gone. Can anyone tell me why this happens? As I understand SQ doesn't really care about customer complaints, is there anything else to do. At this time I only want to have a seat that is not in the middle and can be sure that on the day of the flight I am not shoved in the middle seat again. Thanks for any help.

I have the same problem. They sent me an email saying due to (non-existent) schedule changes I'd been moved from 48D (the one without a seat in front) to 36G. Not a good move! I didn't have time to call SQ then, and their online system wasn't working, so I left it.

Checked a few days later and now I'm in 44B. Exit row but middle. Again can't change it online due to their malfunctioning system, and Expert flyer shows no aisle seats available, so will just leave it. But am a bit nervous about them changing me again.

Happened to me, went from upper deck seats on the A380 to middle seats in the middle row. Anything that can be done about this?

Sounds like you ticked the musical chairs option when you made the booking! :D

It gets a bit tricky with the A380. If at any time, they change the plane to ones with all J upstairs, you'll be automatically reassigned a seat. But if they change it back, you won't get the original seat back. I think that's what happened anyway. These days, I just choose a reasonable seat downstairs and be done with it.
