Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - Connection at Dubai, Valid or not?

I currently travelling on 2 tickets, one on Cathay and another on Emirates. My Cathay flight is scheduled to arrive Dubai at 20.50 and my Emirates flight is schedule to depart at 22.15, 5 minutes short of the minimum connection at Dubai (I believe it to be 1.5 hrs). I wonder if this is valid and do I have to call Emirates to rebook me on a later flight. Does anyone know if I can check in my bags all the way through the Emirates flight (last segment) upon check in at Incheon? Thx. :)

Technically, you can't through check-in on seperate tickets, but CX is usually better than most airlines about adding a flight manually to the tags on the system if you present proof of travel (like an e-ticket copy). You will be changing terminals at Dubai and I would be hesitant with less than 2 hours given air traffic delays at DXB

Thank you all for responding. I do not think immigration at Dubai Airport is needed, just have to go to the appropriate Transfer Desk for the boarding cards for the connecting flight. My point is, Cathay maintained a minimum connection time at Dubai of 90 minutes between flight. Can I through check-in a baggage with a connection time of 1 hr 25 minutes? Since the next flight out of Dubai for the inbound portion is 2.35 am next morning, I would rather not waiting 6 hrs for another 45 minutes flight.

Can you obtain an E-Gate card if you are not a UAE resident or on UAE work permit?

I suspect they won't. Imagine you only had 30mins connection. They wouldn't check it through as there would be too much risk of confusion if the bag happened to make it through and onto the outward aircraft, but you didn't.
So there has to be a cut off somewhere and I'd expect them to use the stated MCT, which they would probably have to look up manually if you are flying on two PNRs (so it won't have been factored in automatically).

Whether or not to through check-in on separate TKTs is at the airline's discretion, and usually airlines do, so technically one certainly can. However, in OP's case, this is not doable because the connection is below MCT.

Does anyone know what is the minimum connecting time on DXB T1-T1? Specifically connecting CX-->RJ.
Annoying thing is that with the start of the winter schedule, CX745 arrives at 645am, and the RJ connection departs at 8am. This makes the connection no longer valid. The next available connection is at 1.45pm (7 hours transit in T1...). Currently CX745 arrives 5.50am connecting to RJ at 7.30am.

Thanks for that! But does that say the minimum connection time must be 90minutes (in bold), whereas the current connection time is 75 minutes. All websites or travel agencies do not let you book the connection as a legal connections unfortunately :(

Sorry I misread it and thought that you were doing a 5:50am to 7:30am connection. Given that it's only 75 min., it is not a legal connection.
