Mileage Run Discussion - Booking multiple segments on same itinerary?

Simply put, I'm looking to maximize mileage earning on a trip I'm taking soon and I was wondering how, if possible, one can book multiple flight segments on one itinerary without deviating too far from a standard price for my trip.
