Hi, I have a MAD-EZE flight booked in Business in the A340-600.

Can someone tell me if the window seats in Row 1 are better / worse than the window seats in the other rows? I'd probably prefer the right hand side of the aeroplane.

Thanks

IMO row 1 is the one to choose on IB's A346 as there's extra legroom (I prfer 1A or 1C). The main cons are that it is close to the galley (if you choose 1L on the right hand side you'll have the bow's J lavatory in front of you) and disembarkment will probably be made through the middle door (ie 40-50 people before you to clear customs).

I use to take middle cabin seats, not sure on 346 but on 343 legrest extension is shorter an recline looks like not so flat....maybe it's just a personal matter...for night flights galley light is a little bit unconfortable seating up there in 1 ....with the new array (less seats per cabin introduced acople of year ago) I feel a very spacious cabin being in the middle cabin rows 3-4. Very confortable an open plan. For privacy of course row1 windows seats are the best.

What would you choose for a couple on a daytime flight on the 346?

Seatguru.com also likes row 1 for legroom, but cautions about proximity to galley (1AC) or lavatory (1JL). It doesn't like row 9, due to proximity to the self-service bar.

To avoid starting another thread, how about a couple on a 321?
