I just returned from a weekend stay there with my sister. Beautiful weekend weather, however we both are covered in bug bites, about 75-100. I believe they are bed bug bites and have just sent an email to customer service to notify them.
My suitcase is still in the garage as I feel like tossing everything in it and do not want to bring it in the house.
I have never experienced this before and am wondering if anyone here had! Been googling for the last two hours looking at pictures and am pretty sure the pictures match what I have. Don't know how to make the itching stop.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Did you ever lay in the sand?
We had a couple who laid out on the beach and ended up covered with hundreds of bites.
Either way, Cortisone cream is a good first start.

Yeah, could be sand fleas, not bed bugs. My significant other got a lot of bites on her legs one night on St. Maarten just from us having dinner by the beach. She was wearing a skirt, I had on pants and was fine. She had so many that when we went to a pharmacy to get some cortisone cream, the women working there gasped. And they lived there, you'd think they would have seen it before. I think some people are also more susceptible than others. Good luck.

taking benadryl may help as well.

I'd go see a doctor and get a professional opinion first. Then, if it turns out to be bed bugs, I would inform the hotel ASAP.

Are they really red but not very raised? If so- I say sand fleas, we got them bad in Curacao.

I did not lay in the sand, I burn very badly so stay out of the sun, my sister does however. The bumps are very red, almost like bisters. Driving me nuts.
I heard from the hotel first thing this morning and they are checking the room for bed bugs.
Last night was horrible, not much sleep at all, lots of itching. I hope to go to the Dr today to see if they can prescribe some sort of stronger cream, this will drive me crazy.
Sad how a great vacation can be ruined.

We did not lay in the sand at all, usually sand fleas are worst at dusk. Here's a decent picture,

That looks painful, mine are very raised and are "blistery" if that is a word lol Thanks for the photo, I do not think that is what I have.

Never heard back from the hotel today. We counted and I have 68 bites. Taking benedryl and putting ointment on but still very painful.
