Best Western Rewards - Upgrades for stays booked through third party?

I booked a stay in Venice, IT through BA using Avois+Cash. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this. Do BW hotels usually honor elite benefits for stays booked through a third party like BA? I'm a Diamond.

Pay attention to the part the I highlighted from the first reply you got.

Many of us who always book through BW itself still hardly ever get upgraded! So on a hotel where no one's done experiments from multiple bookings, some through BW and some through third-party, you wouldn't be able to tell if the reason you didn't get an upgrade was because of your third-party booking, or just the more common reason that most BW hotels hardly ever seem to upgrade anyone most of the time!

wow, sounds like I got lucky when I stayed at BW Sedona, AZ last December. Guess I'll have to test my luck with this hotel.

Actually, yes. There is no differentiation between BW bookings and 3rd party bookings. All the benefits should be given when you do a 3rd party booking. This was confirmed to my be the BW customer service by email. But then again, many hotels don't give you anything at all (e.g the BW President in New York City or most of the Frankfurt BW's)
