For those of you spending your miles for trips to or from Europe to Asia/Middle East and would like to Experience the 787. Ethiopian Airways begins service between Heathrow and Addis Adabar on Sept 17. But just a heads up, Addis airport is probably the worst international airport I have been in.

Agree and they will soon launch (if they haven't already) 787 service SEA-NRT. I might route myself to Asia via NRT on this flight just to experience the 787. :D

United is starting a whole bunch of 787 routes within the next 6 months

In March we will see regular 787 service to YYZ on LO.
They will also run ORD-WAW from mid January, and JFK-WAW from March 1 on the new 787s

ET is also running the 787 on IAD-ADD

Looks like DEN IAH will be my first chance to fly a 787 on UA.

Do you have a link to confirm? I thought Ethiopian was taking the dreamliner on a tour or all it's routes in aug/sept.

LAN got its first 787 yesterday, but also with the crappy 3-3-3 in Y, but luckily 2-2-2 in business. So there is another choice soon.

Looks like I lucked out... didn't expect that when I made the booking.

International only ! As ANA's newly delivered 787 for domestic had gone 3-3-3 in Y as well.

I've been in a lot of crappy airports around the world, and ADD is not ever going to rank too high, it's certainly far from the worst. At least the staff are friendly and polite, not shouting at you to take your shoes and belt off, yelling that you put your laptop in the bin at the wrong angle, etc.

I'd be interested to see how the cabin of the Ethiopian 787 looks. Also reminds me of a funny picture I took in ADD last month -

Flying will be even less pleasant in future.

LOT 787 has been loaded into the system - lots of award space in C out of ORD eff January 16. JFK eff. Feb.3, YYZ eff Feb.1

I personally booked ORD-WAW in July 2013. I think once the 787 is loaded into Sabre, the availability will disappear... For now its only showing in Amadeus.
