We will be staying at a LHW property in September. Haven't been at one in ages. Is there any kind of frequent stayer program we can sign up for there that is free (can't find any on its website). We don't stay at LHW properties that often - so it isn't worth our while to pay money to join any program(s) it has. Thanks. Robyn

Leaders Club program no longer free. I just use FHR these days and most here like Virtuoso.

I am happy with the "Leaders Club" as it offers one free night (booked in the normal rate bucket) for each five stays. Also I always have my preferences honoured and some little extras. Upgrades are only occasional, but the free continental breakfast and free internet are always provided.

Go for it. LHW has many hotels with their very own personality.

P.S. : BTW I don't like "Virtuoso"..... (except when it applies to a maestro, musician or singer in an opera house)

Thanks for this information. Just wanted to make sure we weren't missing anything in terms of a free frequent stayer program. I think the older we get - the less we travel (health issues) - so getting something that might be of use to us down the road is of questionable value - especially if we have to pay in advance for it. If you're younger - and are pretty sure you can use whatever you get - I say go for it. For example - I had the opportunity to change my air ticket to a new lower fare a couple of weeks ago. Would have to pay $400 today to get a $900 voucher good for the next year. Only trip I know for sure I will be taking next year is to a wedding where this airline doesn't have good service. Everything else is up in the air. So :td:.

Our agent is FSPP/Virtuoso. On this stay - it doesn't seem to get us much - because the original hotel offer was so good (stay 3 nights/get 1 free - free breakfast - free wifi - free gym - etc.). Virtuoso gives us one free lunch and a room upgrade if available. Still - booking through our agent made the paperwork easier (we are staying 8 nights - get 2 free - had to put together 2 stays into 1) and that "free lunch" is nothing to sneeze at if you've ever seen food prices in Stockholm .

BTW - I'm not sure why you're knocking Virtuoso. We have had quite good experiences with our agent in the 4 or so years that we've used her. Robyn

Leaders Club membership can make sense, especially considering free internet.

Edit- Sorry just read that free breakfast and wifi is already included in the rate. In this case I cannot see any reason you should bother to join Leaders Club for this stay.

I do not think he was knocking Virtuoso, just that he does not like it. His entire post was filled with ridiculous advice for your situation.
