United MileagePlus (Consolidated) - UA - YVR-SFO-MCO - Duty Free Transit Question

I really did try to search for this so if there is a thread already, my apologies.

Flying YVR-SFO - UA361 then SFO-MCO-UA1275. Will pre-clear US customs in Vancouver. Wanted to purchase duty free post security in YVR.

My question is it appears since the flight is on UA metal, it would arrive into T3 F gates and flight to MCO departs from T3 F gates (also on UA).

I should have no issues with duty free if this is the case but confirmation would be much appreciated.

you should be fine, since a domestic-to-domestic connection (as canadian pre-clearance makes it to be) doesn't require re-clearing security, there's no problem with liquids and gels

Yes.. no matter where you land at SFO (even if at the T1 gates) you can transfer to any other UA flight without reclearing security so you'll be fine.

many thanks. the maps certainly do not seem to indicate the same from the placement of the security check points...

Between T1 and T3 there is a UA transfer shuttle bus that allows you to avoid security. Odds are you won't arrive or depart from there but it is possible.
