Hi –
Wife and I flying to Prague for a quick getaway. Might choose LH via FRA but have a question that will help me decide

Itin : AC YYZ-FRA, 3 hour layover in FRA, then FRA-PRG on LH/Cityline

I have access to Luxx Lounge Landside Terminal 1.

Question : What additional process/line ups will I be subject to if I decide to visit land-side Lounge vs just transiting airside for the 3 hours.

Don’t travel to Europe much and this would be my first time thru FRA. I have no other lounge access in FRA

Thanks all

Assuming your trip is in the next 6 weeks, AC flights usually arrive at a B gate. To visit the Luxx Lounge follow the signs for Exit and go through passport control. You will leave the secure area on the departure/check-in level come out into the shopping area. The Luxx Lounge is one level up on your right. After leaving the lounge you will have to clear security (but no passport control) before going to your departure gate.

Even if you don't visit the lounge you will still have to clear passport control (to enter Schengen) and transfer security check before your connecting flight.

Thank you.

My flight is not in the next 6 weeks but I'm assuming that only inpacts where AC docks in FRA. the process remains the same so I will book via FRA.

I don't know if the opening of the new Pier A-Plus will have impact on the arrival gate for AC but just in case.

Correct - immigration first then security. In your case it will not be the transfer security, but the departure security.
