LAN LANPASS - CIX Chiclayo Airport fun - k chevre

Just for fun. CIX has a new modern airport building but still with old instincts. The 2nd floor cafeteria has covered over their windows with frosting, used to be able to look out at the runway sipping your cappachino, and the 2nd floor public windows removed. Why? Other side of the runway has the active air force base and hangers. Not that you cannot see them from the 1st floor windows!

For another, CIX still uses bangers to scare off the birds... or at least I think that is what it is for... every 10 seconds you hear a BOOM... or maybe just summary exectutions at the airbase?

Ahhh Chiclayo - when LAN was trailing Premium Economy product in Peru (2008?) these wonderful check-in ladies at CIX Airport were always 'upgrading' me to either row 1 or 2 on my regular CIX-LIM commuting flights...


PS. Never happened from LIM to CIX

Well, you probably wouldn't recognize the airport, quite nice with the renovations. What I like is it is so close you can almost walk to it from downtown... or S/3 taxi.
