Is El Al the only airline with no Priority Boarding for C pax?

It always amazes me that there is no Priority Boarding for C pax on LY flights.
Why??

EL AL uses a different system than other airlines which, I can say from experience, is far preferable.

Where would you prefer to spend 15 minutes? In a comfortable lounge, or on an aircraft? Do you enjoy passengers 'from the back' gaping at you as they walk past (maybe this gives some people an ego trip, but it embarrasses me intensely).

EL AL wait until the boarding queue for economy has died down and then begin boarding business class. They then wait until that queue has thinned out and board first class.

In my opinion, far better than 'priority boarding'.

This is a matter of "taste"
Personally, I like to board before everyone on the plane. I am not a fan of lounges. I am an airplane fan;)
Even though LY's policy is to board Premium classes after Y, that would be expensive for them to create a line for C, F and FF.

On this one, I think El Al does it correctly.
On top of that, don't forget that nobody is stopping a C pax from being at the head of the line. AND - at the gate in JFK at least, there is a dedicated premium line.

there is also a premium line in HKG. and sometimes they connect 2 bridges to the plane so biz board on the front door directly into first class cabin.

They should still have such a line for gold or platinum members flying in economy, who want to board first to get their overhead space etc.

if you want to go first - go to the gate as they start boarding, and get on the plane.
most israelis will sit at the gate and wait and wait and wait until final call... most people rather sit outside than on the plane.

The issue as I see it is not offering priority boarding to status pax - a TPL flying Y can't stay in the lounge as long as he/she wants, as the plane may not ending up having overhead space. Not an issue for F/C.

just go to the gate and tell the agent that you are C class and he will open the small gate and let you board when you want.
