Air New Zealand Air Points - NZ no longer release award seats for the weekly flight to Niue (IUE)?

Try to search at expertflyer.com for the award seats (I or X) on both IUE-AKL & AKL-IUE weekly flights for the next 330 days but nothing is available. Does anyone know why? When did NZ stop releasing awards to Niue? Thanks for any input in advance.

I've looked for the past couple of years & have never seen any seats available on that route.

No point in searching for I class as these flights operate with a Y cabin only!

NZ doesn't release award seats (for all intents and purposes) for MANY of their flights

Yes, I realized that the flight has only Y cabin, but it doesn't even show "X" availability for the next 330 days neither.
im-headed-west is probably right, NZ doesn't release any reward seats for many of their flights, specially when NZ is monopoly on Niue.

Same thing for Bali, Vanuatu, Niue, and Norfolk Island...
It's disappointing as I wanted to go to Vanuatu this December.

I would say there logic behind it, is there is no other *A programs within that reign hence it would not be worth them allocating seats *A partners and with NZ own member its Any Seat rewards so there doesn't need to be any seats in X/I.
Also some of these services are government funded / operated on half of the government. Hence they may not want there funding going towards award seats.
Off the top of my head the following services are government funded
RAR-LAX-RAR
SYD-RAR-SYD
SYD-NLK-SYD
BNE-NLK-BNE
AKL-IUE-AKL

There is award space on the SYD/RAR & LAX/RAR sector though...
