I found several other references to the MM450's here (all positive), including a few folks that got them for about this same price. But it looks like there are several variants (X, Travel, Flight), and I can't find details on the differences between them. This particular one that's on sale appears to have only been in the market for a few months, so keep that in mind when looking at reviews.
Battery is maybe just enough to get you through a TATL.
Edit: It was a one day deal, so it's over now.

Not a bad deal, how do they compare to, say, the Bose QuietComfort 15s at $300 (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0054JJ0QW/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B0054JJ0QW&linkCode=as2&tag=12672812-20)? Worth the extra $70?
I used to have the QC3s and am wondering which to choose as a replacement.

I am very interested in this deal as well. Previously, I was thinking about a Parrot Zik. But this could be the one that gets my money. Just gotta dig up the reviews. Anyone with experiences to share?

I used to have the Bose QC15s but found them much too bulky. I prefer to travel light. :)
I now use the much more portable Sennheiser CX 880 Noise-Isolating (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0035JKJAE/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=someiwritstuf-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B0035JKJAE) earbuds. They sound fantastic, isolating noise really well. Currently about $89 - the best bang for your buck imo. My only complaint is that the cable gets tangled up quite often.
Sennheiser are great German quality though so I'm sure the MM450s are pretty good.

Where are they made? Germany? Japan? China? Or???

I see the MM450s are back at $329 (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008562SXS/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B008562SXS&linkCode=as2&tag=12672812-20). So the QC15s are now the cheaper model! :)

I disagree - while they may still have some high end products made in Germany, most of their stuff is made in China and nowhere near the quality it used to be.

Check out these:

PSB is a really good brand and these things are probably the best out in the market in the price range.
Good Germans would be http://north-america.beyerdynamic.com/

:o I didn't know that! Very disappointing.
I assume Bose aren't made in the USA either.

Amazon has these at $300 as per the link. But given the link for the headphones above are bluetooth, would you be allowed to use them? And did you take into consideration the drain on the device battery as well as the headphone batteries?

I have Etymotic earbuds and QC-15s. I prefer the QC-15 for long-haul, the Etymotic for short -- the latter get uncomfortable after a couple of hours, though your mileage may very.
What I don't get is this from the link in the OP:

This item: Sennheiser MM 450 Flight Bluetooth Multimedia Headset with Noise Cancellation - Black $299.48
SINGER 9960 Quantum Stylist 600-Stitch Computerized Sewing Machine by SINGER $329.99
Is the sewing machine Bluetooth-enabled? How much music does its hard drive hold?

I order to really get your money's worth (enjoy noise cancelling to the max) its telling you to buy a loud sewing machine see what difference it makes when you need to listen to music while sewing that button on the 3 piece

I use QC15s.
To answer the earlier question about are they worth the extra $70, the sound reproduction isn't the best, a similar priced set of Senns or AKGs will be rather better.
But no-one gets near Bose for ANR and that is why I use them for travelling.

The QC15s are actually $30 cheaper now that those Sennheiser's aren't on sale any more! :)

Right. Anyone who buys Bose for their sound quality is, quite frankly, silly. But as noise reduction on a plane, they're really great.
I just find I can get 80% of the noise reduction and 20% of the price with my in-ears :)
