Where is the QF72? It seemed to run every day and just when I needed a late night flight from Singapore to Perth ... it's VANISHED!

Seems bizarre that flights just don't run for some days - is that normal? I've tried emailing Qantas to ask and just get a stock response saying that they are not responding to email in their normal timeframe......

Any other way of getting between the two? I have a dinner in Singapore on the 23rd and a conference in Perth starting 9am on the 24th!

EDIT - no worries. Found a Singapore Airlines flight. Darn I HATE FLYING Sing. And this itinerary is going to involve no sleep at all :(

You have just found out the hard way why pax are leaving QF in droves.

Seems starting mid-Oct there are 12 or 13 flights a week rather than twice daily. Interestingly the later flight QF72 (2330->0440) is the one being reduced.

Seems that some people, perhaps the O&D crowd as opposed to those connecting from LHR/FRA, don't book that flight as much. Well, at least the fare buckets on QF72 are generally less expensive than the 1930 departure.

Note - rant follows:
Come on QF - reschedule to a time that O&D people actually want to fly. As opposed to one that will catch passengers from European flight delays without having to pay hotel costs.

Hopefully MH will have reasonable fares KUL-PER after they have joined OW.

Happy wandering

You are emailing an airline, hoping for an explanation from someone as to why they are / are not operating a route on certain days?? Or hoping they'll add the flight back for you?

You may want to review your expectations.

I think you might find that service replaced by an EK one after Thursdays announcement.

I wonder who BA will be codesharing with between SIN/HKG and Australia...

The reason I wonder is that in OW, codeshares normally only credit to partner FF programs if both the marketing and operating airlines are OW members. Maybe UL will have flights to PER and MEL from CMB.

Oh well, we will know in a few weeks...

Wandering in the meanwhile

It seems to go back to normal in late November. It may just be maintenance.
