Hey, I was hoping to get some help with this booking. Currently have ~35k SPG points and am looking to make a R/T flight out of EZE to MDZ for 2 people around 5/5/13 for ~5 nights returning no later than 5/10/13.

I was able to get a great deal using BA avios on LAN for LIM to CUZ,and was wondering what the best airlines transfer for SPG is to book the EZE --> MDZ flight.

Thanks so much for your help!

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8530/5.0.0.1030 Profile/MIDP-2.1 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/417)

If you are willing to depart from AEP instead of EZE, you can fly on LAN Argentina for only 4,500 Avios each way (assuming you can find award-seat availability).

yea, you'll want to take AEP

transfer 20k SPG over to LAN for a total of 50k, that should work

As mentioned, take AEP... and you'll also save money on the taxi/shuttle fair from Buenos Aires to the airport (vs EZE).

Although, tickets from AEP-MDZ are usually very cheap on Aerolineas Argentina, so you may want to save your SPG points.

Most sites now allow you to use the Airport code BUE, which includes options for both EZE and AEP (everything domestic goes out of AEP)...but like others have said, transferring SPG to LAN is a great deal, and LAN tends to have a lot more award availability on their own metal than they give to British Airways (I advise calling BA for availability if you do want to use Avios). With 50k LAN, you may be able to add an extra trip like Salta (Cafayate, Cachi, Tilcara), Iguazu, or Bariloche.
