I am transferring from SK567 in CDG to JJ8055. Arrival in CDG at 19.35 and the TAM departure 21.50 (2h15min transfer in total). Which lounge should I use ? I hope that some people here tried CDG enough, but let me know if I should ask elsewhere for better chance.

Now, in an even more crazy attempt, let me fire a bonus question, too.
In Rio (GIG) I have 4 hours for transfer from the CDG TAM flight to a domestic flight. What lounge should I use there?

It's been a couple years since I flew into CDG on a *A carrier and I believe SK moved things around since then, so I can't advise on that.

As for GIG, I was there last year and TAM's lounge (at least for int'l departures) was great. It's in the basement, but it has a good layout, plenty of seats, and nice selection of food.

AFAIR you can't get to the SK lounge after deplaning from the SK flight due to the layout of the satellite SK uses. I'm sure JJ has an arrangement at CDG for departing *G?

A sober proposal - I completely forgot about it. There are some rumours on this forum that SK EBGs are not allowed into the Star Alliance Business Lounge, by SK decision. Is this still true? Has anybody tried that? I will be flying economy most likely.

I was in GIG in July, and as far as I understood there is no JJ lounge in the domestic terminal. JJ is, however, operating some domestic flights between GIG-GRU as add-ons to international flights, leaving from the international terminal.

Lounge wise the JJ lounge is ok with a limited food selection, but the basement location is rather uninspiring. You might also want to try out the G5 (GOL) lounge, which has a little better spread. You can access it with a Diners Card or Priority Pass.

At GRU, the G3 (!) lounge, which is the old Varig-lounge, is sometimes extremely crowded, but the snacks are better. The JJ lounge has the ambience of a night club, but I do like the piano ;)

the G5 lounge is also in the international terminal? Nothing in domestic?

Both lounges are located in the intl. terminal. GIG is a horrendous. Imagine CDG Terminal 2 style French airport 80s architecture, with fairly limited food and drink options...

I have been here in the dungeon for 4 hours.
At 8.30, regular drinks, some chocolates, pastries, baguettes, corn flakes
At 10, the cheese came out (good selection)
At noon, lunch consisted of mini appetizers with shrimp/ cold cuts/ olives etc...skewered and quite pretty and tasty
Not much traffic here and found a quiet spot to read.

For the record, I had no slightest problems accessing the *A lounge in CDG T1 as EBG yesterday, albeit flying on JJ. There were some unclear reports about that in flyertalk threads, but all quite old.

I suspect that they would have redirected me to SAS lounge if I was flying SK.

In the end I was rerouted and did not fly GIG, but GRU instead. Unfortunately, GRU turned out to be as unwelcoming as GIG, when connecting to a domestic flight. No lounges.
