United MileagePlus (Consolidated) - UA redeposited miles - award still confirmed. What to do?

I have an upcoming award itinerary in 5 days. I was able to make a change to my confirmed first class outbound award reservation, and everything was confirmed. I just logged into my account and found 75k miles back in my balance. I just called UA and they confirmed my outbound award, and everything is fine. Do I leave it alone, or call UA to have them take my miles back? I don't want to do anything to jeopardize my trip, but the agent seemed sure that the flights are confirmed. I even said I was calling because I had miles redeposited, and he didn't even acknowledge that.

Is it UA metal or partner's?
If it is partner's, have you confirmed with partner airlines that the itinerary is still good in their system, i.e. ticket number good and such?

It is a mix of UA, LH and SAA. Should I call LH and SAA?

Call UA and get the confirmation codes for LH and SAA, then call both to see if they show your reservation as ticketed. Make sure to get the ticket number.

Was there a change in mileage cost?
I've seen them redeposit the whole amount, then later debit the new amount.
If the award is in tact, you should be okay.

I have the opposite problem. I changed a 55k award to a 47.5k award and can't get anyone at United to give me my damn miles back. They say it's in a queue and will process eventually. Last time they told me that, I had to spend several hours on the phone to get my 35k back. I really hate the new UA.

If you can see your itinerary on the partner's website with seat assignment, etc. you don't need to call, right?

Are the flights just confirmed or they ticketed? A PNR number means nothing if there is no ticket attached to it. Get the ticket number.

I called both LH and SAA and actually got seat assignments. They could pull up my res with no problem. It just makes me really nervous. I will probably call UA again and speak to a supervisor. I do know that the change I made to my itinerary was the first two flights.
