Did a search and didn't see any threads on this.

Are there any good options in the greater Tysosn Corner / McLean area? I'm aware of the one CP, but have heard mixed reviews. Need someplace quiet to stay for about 1 week.

I really like the HI Select in Chantilly. Great value for the money.

Roger,

The C/P in Tysons has gotten fairly good reviews on T/A and I have contacted them thinking about staying there.

They have advised that Platinum members are comped a buffet breakfast and that they are usually upgraded to an executive level room.

In addition, their senior/AARP rates are usually less than their discounted AAA rates, a rarity that I have also noticed.

However, I have not stayed there and as I know you are a Hilton fan from your Nor 1 post, you should be advised that the Hilton Tysons just went thru a top to bottom renovation of the entire hotel as the main corp HQ of Hilton is now in McClean VA, and the execs patronize this property. T/A also has very good reviews on this one, as well.

Never stayed at the CP in Tysons Corner, but I go there often for happy hour. Its a clean hotel with a decent staff and the food is good. Lots of BA and other flight crews stay there. You shouldn't have a bad experience.

Note that hotels in Tysons are very expensive during the week and dirt cheap on Friday and Saturday nights. If your stay includes a weekend, make sure you get a rate change.
