Looks like you're interested in Delta, Gypsyg, but i think you can hold an AA reservation for 24 hours (as opposed to buying and being able to cancel for 24 hours).
When you ask if you should "pull the trigger", are you waiting for another carrier? a lower price? better schedule?

if you NEED to go, then by all means YES as this is a very good fare, if you screw around waiting to save $20 it may cost you a lot more.. do you really need to save $20 if you need to go?

With Delta, always better to pull the trigger and cancel within 24 hours than to pay tons more because the deal is gone.
