Southwest Rapid Rewards - Plan to partner oversees for reward flights?

Hey friends!

Just flew for the first time with SW out of Denver (just moved here from FWA). LOVED the service! I was looking at their rewards...I am a UA Plat and love to use my miles to fly oversee's (Europe, Israel, etc).

Any idea if SW is planning on partnering with anyone for reward flights oversee's other than mexico?

The main opportunity they have is that RR Visa cardholders can get overseas awards, but the cost is around 150 points per dollar: it would take 150,000 points to get an overseas trip that would cost $1000.

Not Europe or Israel, but Air Tran gives you some Caribbean options.

For the widest mix of international options and a Denver base, Star Alliance is the only game in town for you. I know the merger has been painful and UA Plat probably doesn't translate into many domestic upgrades out of DEN, but I still think Star outshines OW and ST in terms of award travel worldwide.
